The Goethe-Institut South Africa, Joburg Fringe’s partner in 2012, has made the Fringe the offer of a space at the Joburg Art Fair.
This is an amazing offer!
It means that the Joburg Fringe will have a presence on the Joburg Art Fair; a curated show with works selected from the submissions for this year’s Joburg Fringe.
The fee of R2500 for a booth/stand may be an off-putting hurdle for some, but artists can form groups and share the participation costs. On the Fringe itself there will be three sponsored booths for which artists would need to write a two sentence-long motivation as to why they should be awarded a sponsored booth.
The Joburg Fringe 2012 is really looking forward to the submissions – there has been some great stuff already submitted so good work will be in sparkling company.
